On October 9-10th, 2025 the first MIT MISTI Conference “Human and More-Than-Human Futures: Innovating Technologies for Coexistence” took place in Vilnius and Kaunas, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders from Lithuania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
We had the opportunity to join the roundtable discussion “From Sensing to Resilience – Building Livable Cities for Human and More-Than-Human Futures”, where Dr. Darius Milčius shared insights on how hydrogen technologies can be integrated into the energy systems of future cities.
Hydrogen offers great potential for sustainable urban ecosystems — enabling energy storage, decarbonization, and resilience. The discussions clearly showed how interdisciplinary collaboration can drive responsible innovation for more livable and climate-resilient cities.
