Preparation for green hydrogen production in Lithuania!

The Port of Klaipėda and Volvo Trucks Lithuania have announced a partnership aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and promoting the adoption of green fuel technologies in the transport and logistics sectors. As part of this cooperation, the partners plan to implement a pilot project introducing green hydrogen into the road transport system.

Volvo Trucks intends to bring a hydrogen-powered truck to Klaipėda, Lithuania. The truck will operate using locally produced green hydrogen at the port, testing how such vehicles can be integrated into logistics chains.
As noted by Volvo Lithuania, leadership today means building a collaborative ecosystem that accelerates decarbonization and creates value for carriers, customers, and society.
